The Rosatom Production System (RPS) is the lean production culture and the system of continual flow-process improvement. It is aimed at achieving strategic objectives of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, whereas industry-specific RPS projects are aimed at increasing the output capacity and product quality as well as reducing product costs. The indispensable prerequisite for professional as well as career growth of the nuclear industry employees is knowledge and the ability to apply PSR tools.
The RPS implementation at MSZ JSC yielded favourable economic effect and substantially reduced lead time of production processes. For example, starting from 2021, the implemented improvement proposals and other RPS actions increased company receipts by 70%. Whereas labour efficiency at the core operations related to nuclear fuel, machining and tube manufacture increased by 60%.
Based on 2023 results, MSZ JSC has confirmed its status of the RPS leader. This status is awarded if the applicable key performance indicators (KPI) are met and the objectives for the implementation of the RPS methodology in various areas of activities are achieved.
